Megan qualified as a physiotherapist with a first-class honours degree in 2002 and spent a few years working in MSK before finding her home in pelvic health — a specialism that combines anatomy, rehabilitation and psychology in a way that suits how she thinks and works. She is now Clinical Director of Pelvix, working exclusively in pelvic health with patients across Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas, and has built longstanding relationships with GPs, consultants and allied health professionals to make sure her patients receive genuinely joined-up care.
Pelvic health asks clinicians to be thorough in equal measure as a clinician and a listener, and Megan’s approach reflects that. She is the kind of practitioner who will keep pulling at a problem until she finds the answer — which matters, because people often arrive having spent years without the right one.
Beyond the clinic, Megan has developed The Pain Deck — a clinical tool supporting practitioners in the assessment and management of persistent pain — and regularly delivers talks for GP networks and patient groups. She has also been a guest on Michelle Lyons’ Celebrate Muliebrity podcast.
Training includes POGP urinary, bowel and prolapse modules; advanced male pelvic pain; pelvic pain with Maeve Whelan; The Female Athlete; WHTA advanced prolapse, SUI & OAB; POCUS; Mummy MOT; Rost Therapy; and focused shockwave therapy.
Megan has heard it all before — nothing is too embarrassing, nothing too trivial. What matters to her is that every person who walks through the door is seen as an individual, not a set of symptoms.
